The Buena Vista County Dive/Rescue Team is a group of dedicated individuals. The divers and support staff are from several emergency service agencies throughout Buena Vista County. The dive team was created in 2015 and has been continuously training members of the team to gain certifications in rescue operations. With the assistance of several local committees and corporations providing donations and grants, we have been able to purchase equipment and provide training to a level that we can all be proud of.
The Search and Recovery Dive Team serves all of Buena Vista County. We are also available to assist neighboring counties and communities if necessary. We work closely with all the fire departments in the county to coordinate efforts for the rescue or recovery of a victim. Our mission is to provide Buena Vista County with a professional and dedicated team of professional public safety divers.
